Cat’s Claw

Cat’s Claw has been shown to decrease inflammation of arthritis, prevent DNA damage, reduce free radical damage, control pain through serotonin and much more.

A smoker’s best friend – according to a 1992 study at the University of Milan in Italy, the Herb Cats Claw helps protect the cells of smokers from mutating, which lessens the risk of cancer and other serious diseases. The urine usually contains mutagenic substances, but the study found that when given Cats Claw for 2 weeks, the smokers’ urine turned to normal!

Cat’s Claw (Uncaria tomentosa, Uña de Gato, or Savéntaro) is a large, woody South American vine that gets its name from the hook-like thorns on the leaf stem resembling the claws of a cat.

Cat’s Claw is indigenous to the Amazon rainforest and other tropical areas of South and Central America. It has been used medicinally by the Aguaruna, Asháninka, Cashibo, Conibo, and Shipibo tribes of Peru for at least 2,000 years.

The Asháninka use Cat’s Claw for everything from asthma to urinary tract infections to cancer. I won’t go into the long list of ailments but Cat’s Claw has an amazing track record.
